I went to Reed College (1994-1998) in Portland, Oregon for college. I majored in math and physics.

After graduating from Reed, I spent an additional year in Portland working for Dr. Richard Crandall at the Center for advanced computation.

From 1999-2006, I attended Stanford University and did a PhD in physics with Dr. Alex Chao at Stanford Linear Accelerator Center. I studied electron storage rings. My thesis was called “Analytic approach to eigen-emittance in storage rings”
