After finishing my PhD at Stanford University, I took a postdoctoral position at Brookhaven National Laboratory in Long Island New York. The first year I lived near Stony Brook university. Next, I moved to Port Jefferson. During the last year, I moved to Queens Village, closer to Manhattan. During that time, I commuted to the lab on the long island expressway with Riccardo de Maria.

During my time at BNL, I worked with the Association of Students and Postdocs (ASAP), serving as vice president, and helping bring the organization to life with other graduate students and postdocs such as Astrid Morreale.
